This is the ending to a birthday poem
For an eighty years friend.
Many are the friends who are here to extend,
Their wishes and love to a well honored friend,
On your 80th birthday our words do not seem,
As adequate gestures for one we esteem.
But it’s just a small verse, and a token of pride,
For a companion in faith who has stood by our side,
Happy birthday, dear friend, may this day bring you piece,
And may love and fulfillment and joy never cease.
